All I can say is wow. I did not expect this when I got here. I was here this past weekend because I was spending some time at the poconos area and our hotel was close to this location. I have never been a fan of steakhouse chains, Im not fond of outback, boulder creek, so normally, I was already in my low expectation mood. We got there around 430pm and had to wait for 30 minutes for a table. It was crowded that Saturday. We got seated around 5pm, and was pleasantly greeted by the waitress. She helped us with our orders, my fiance' had the filet and I had the sirloin 11oz. We ordered an appetizer, the sweet and spicy calamari, and it was ok, not the best, and incredible small for what it was. But it was ok, its an appetizer, but I have had better than this. Shortly thereafter we received our our steaks. My steak was absolutely amazing. I even ordered the special steak sauce, which to be honest wasnt all that special but it was ok. It tasted like a sweeter version of A1 sauce. Not necessary to be honest but I wanted to try it out. I guess the wording "try our special steak sauce and watch as we prepare it at your table". Well the steak was AMAZING. The mash potatoes were incredible, absolutely buttery and slightly garlicky. It was so good that I ordered a second helping of it. The steak was juicy and cooked to my liking , medium. I was so taken by this, I could not believe that a chain steakhouse made such an amazing steak. What was even better is the service, the waitress was attentive, always making sure that we were OK, but she was never intrusive and always polite., At the end, the bill was lower than I expected. I appreciated this experience so much. Now that I am back in NY, I will try one of those locations out here.,

Third time is not the charm. First time we went my fiance ordered a tbone medium rare and it came out raw. They did take it off of the bill but by the time they came back by we were already done. 2nd time we went for Father's day. Although quite busy the apps came out stone cold. 3rd time was last week. They weren't super busy but they brought our sons steak out supposed to be medium rare and it was raw. Then they threw that same steak on the grill and overcooked it so bad he wouldn't eat it. The guy who brought it out looked clueless and the other manager cooked him another. They also forgot salads. I will say the service is always quite friendly but the cooking has been subpar. We won't be going back there for steak anytime soon.

Stopped on a Tuesday afternoon for a late lunch 3pm ish. After a considerable wait our order was taken. Nothing much burger, shaved beef sandwich and onion "Tunion". Considering there was only one other table I don't understand a 41 minute wait for our lunch (and that was after the wait to even order) and our "Tunions" arrived in time for dessert! I don't know what they would do if a 3rd or 4th table would have arrived they couldn't serve 2 tables a lunch menu! Our waitress was at first a bit rude but warmed up and provided good service. Management was apparently absent and there was no one who cared.

Terrible. I ate here with my mother and son. My mother and I both got the lamb, and my son got chicken. I felt like the lamb tasted off, but didn't say anything because lamb is hard to get right. A few hours after leaving I became violently ill - some of the worst illness of my life. I was incapable of going to work, incapable of sleeping, incapable of anything other than forcefully expelling this lamb from my body. My son, however, was fine. What surprised me (though it shouldn't have) was when I talked to my mother next and found out that she, too, had spent the evening, night and next day destroyed by the lamb. I spoke to the store to let them know of the problem - not in the hopes of getting anything but just to let them know. They were apologetic without apologizing. One of those "Sorry you're sick but it's not from us." Kind of apologies. I told them I wasn't interested in getting anything but was just trying to alert them to the problem, and the fact that my mother and I both got sick at the same time and my son didn't indicated pretty clearly it was the lamb - but no dice. They did give me gift certificates to come back, and when I did (reluctantly, and definitely avoiding the lamb), that experience was also sub par. I was sat in a booth near the kitchen, my steak was mediocre and I had to flag my server down for drink refills (and the table was left littered with my empties). On a positive note, their little jalapeño shooters are kicking. Just don't eat them before the lamb, I'd had to experience those on the way back up.

I have never been a soup man, but I have always been a french onion soup man, and Longhorn's french onion soup tops them all. The steaks are beyond delicious and and cooked to perfection. I always order my son a medium steak because they almost always come out well done, and for once the cooks didn't screw it up. My medium rare came out perfect as well. I'll have to visit the longhorn closer to us more often as long as they keep up with this standard. The service was great as well. Our server was a little busy at first and didn't get us our drinks for quite some time, but as soon as the short rush was over she was very attentive. Will be back soon.

Terrible. This was my first time to a Longhorn, and I had heard good things about this location. I was hoping at least I could get a decent steak at this place, but they couldn't even deliver *that*. First off, the service was atrocious. We were the first stable set in her section, so I know she wasn't weeded, and yet she acted like we were the last people on earth she would want to serve. Everything seemed like a bother to her... it was as if we showed up at her apartment and asked her to wait on us hand and foot or something. We had to ask for bread, silverware, refills, and she MAYBE cleared two of our salad plates. The rest of our appetizer plates and salad dishes remained on the table, even during dessert. It was just really unpleasant and unprofessional. As far as the food went, the bread was decent, but my 6 oz sirloin was flavorless ... and at least one ounce of the four left over when cooked to mid rare was all gristle. I had a side of mac and cheese with bacon that was so bland I didn't finish it, nor did I take it home. That's saying a LOT for me... I mean, how do you screw up mac and cheese?! The stuff in the dollar box was better than this "premium" side. The best (worst) part, was that everyone at my table felt sick afterward, and my mother puked as soon as she got home. Ugh.

Surprised to hear such awful reviews, since each time we have went we have had a good experience. First off, get a steak. It's a STEAK house. They do a pretty good job of seasoning and cooking them. Last week, I had a parmesan crusted NY strip that was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! My husband had a Rib eye with the house made steak sauce. (it is made table side. Nice touch) He is extremely picky with restaurants, especially steaks, and he has been pleased each time. In the past, service was a little lacking, but most recently we have seen a definite increase in experienced waitresses and prompt service. My only complaint is that I ordered fire grilled corn on the cob, and it was frozen, not fresh. It's summer in PA, get fresh corn. That aside, we have always had good food and things seem to be picking up where they once were lacking.

Poor service and way over priced. Save your money and go someplace else. The food was overlooked. You would think a steakhouse could cook a steak....not hear!

By far the best steak I've ordered from a chain. (And for the record, I don't consider myself a food snob, but at the same time I know part of me internally scoffs at the thought of a "chain restaurant" and inherently prefers local gems to fuel my culture & food fixes.) But I can't even lie to myself about this one, especially after reminiscing about that perfect medium-rare, buttery, charred ribeye I ate last week. It was so succulent (ew, cringe word.. I know) that each time my knife sliced through, drops of juicy goodness would drip onto my plate. It was also massive - like I imagine the standard Texas-style steak is served - and the flavors were alllllll there. Each bite was an experience. It honestly was one of the best steaks I've had out without paying $$$$ for it. Impressive food, lovely service, and incredibly reasonable in pricing, Longhorn has my vote.

My mom had recommend me and my boyfriend to go here when i told her we were looking for somewhere with steak. I'm glad i listened. We were seated and waited somewhere between 5-10 minutes before a server came over and took our drink order. That was our only problem. The steak was very good. We were seated right away when we walked in the door however when we left it was very busy. A ton of people were waiting to eat. Overall it was good though and i will definitely go back.

When I got there the wait was short but the staff was ignorant they got my meat rarity wrong this longhorn is ten times worse then the one in Dickson city.

I'll start out by disclosing that I tend to dislike chains. My family and I ate here later in the evening on a Sunday because of pure convenience. The service was friendly, but my compliments end there. It took them an exorbitantly long time to take our drink order and that pattern continued throughout the next two hours. How it took nearly two hours for 3 people to eat two courses is beyond me. The food was standard chain food, so, I knew what I was getting into theres

This is a brand new Longhorn. Just opened yesterday. My first time here and it was very good. Good service too for a place that just opened. Check it out.

My friend and I went here to celebrate finding a wedding dress. Host said there would be a 10-15 minute wait. Not a problem. We go to the bar for a drink. Not a soul was at the bar...including the bartender. We must have sat there for about 8 minutes before anyone helped us. Got our drinks. No problem. We get seated...server will be right with us. No. We were able to finish our drinks and figure out what we wanted for an appetizer AND our meal before John the server made his appearance. John must have been very bad at the game memory as a kid. We must have told him our names 4 times and it was eluding this man. Moving on. We order our app, crab and spinach dip and our main course. Bread gets delivered and my friend is rationing the bread...says she is saving room for the incredible appetizer that is going to grace our table in minutes. Time passes...maybe about 10-15 minutes...out comes our main course. The look of utter sadness sweeps my poor friends face. We start eating. Sure as heck don't want the app now. Our meals are great. Phenomenal actually. Well mine was...I don't know about hers. John the server comes around and asks how things are. We tell him that we did not get our appetizer. He looks shocked, asks what we ordered and then checks his notes. The "holy crap I screwed up" face takes over and John slithers away. Manager stops by wraps up our dip in a to-go box...offers a dessert on the house. We get the check. We tell John I am guest 1 and she is guest 2...give him our cards. Remember the memory game? Yea, screws up our checks. I would go back...just keep homeboy John away.

There was a 30 minute wait for a table on Saturday evening, but the service was good and the food came fairly quickly. The Parmesan crusted chicken was phenomenal! Everyone enjoyed their food and would recommend giving it a try.

Best steak chain ever. Best steak I had out ever. Great cuts and very tasty. Not bland. Love the portabella chicken or flat iron steak! Everything tastes fresh and not frozen. I even enjoy the salad! Long wait times and crowds even on weekdays prove I'm not alone!

An average chain restaurant. It's nice, new, and clean, but the wait for a Monday night was ridiculous!

Brand spanking new restaurant a little bit off 81 in Wilkes Barre. My wife and I had the pleasure to be invited for dinner for one of their training sessions before they open to the public the following week. The staff, management and cooks all did a great job. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Wilkes Barre loves their chain restaurants and this is one of the better chains for any meat lover to try. They have it all from burgers, chicken, shrimp, ribs and of course steak for you to choose from.

This location is new in Wilkes Barre. Tried it for the first time here, and as usual with Longhorn, we have their Salmon filet. My wife and I think their Salmon is the best and most consistent across restaurant chains in this price range. We were not disappointed with this location and on this visit.
